Is my donation tax-deductible?
Contributions to the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund are deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes to the extent that the IRS will allow it. No goods or services were received in exchange for your gift. The Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund is established under 501(c3) of the U.S, Internal Revenue Code. Please consult your tax advisor concerning the deductibility of any donations.
How can I set up a matching gift/challenge for my chapter?
If you would like to set one up for your chapter, please email SAJ@hq.kappasigma.org with the details of your gift. All matching gifts and challenge donations are pledges and will be updated and collected following SAJ Weekend of Giving. Matching gifts and challenges are a great way to drive support from your chapter brothers! Matching gifts will match donations dollar for dollar up to a set amount, and challenges can drive # of donations or # raised before a challenge unlocks your donation(s).
What will my donation fund?
100% of all donations made on Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving will be applied to the donor's Chapter Scholarship Fund of choice. These funds enable generous supporters to direct their scholarship assistance to brothers in every chapter of Kappa Sigma!
Since 1947, the Endowment Fund has donated nearly $5 million to brothers demonstrating excellence in academics, campus involvement, and fraternity leadership.
