#SAJGIVING HAS ENDED BUT THERE IS STILL TIME TO MAKE A GIFT HERE!
Rho (Arizona State University)
Support Kappa Sigma at Arizona State!

This Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving, March 1-3, we're asking you to make a tax-deductible donation to support a cause near and dear to the Rho Chapter– the creation of a new Scholarship-Leadership Award named in honor of Brother Nicholas S. Hagen. 100% of your gift, in the amount of $10.34, $50.34, $150.34, $340, $3,400, or $34,000, will help fund this special scholarship.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to establish a permanent $2,000 annual Scholarship in Brother Hagen's name that will benefit a Rho Chapter Brother every year in perpetuity. In the event Rho does not reach the $50,000 threshold during the Weekend but reaches $25,000, it will automatically create a $1,000 annual Scholarship-Leadership Award. All amounts raised shy of $25K between or over $50K will directed to the existing Chapter Scholarship Fund to benefit Rho undergraduates.

Dr. Nicholas S. Hagen is a 1963 initiate of the Rho Chapter and a Founding Father. As a longtime AAA at Rho with more than 15 years of service and as a recipient of an Outstanding First Year Volunteer Award, Brother Hagen has left a lasting mark on generations of Kappa Sigma Brothers. He wears Jackson’s Man pin number 1,402 at the Opal level, is a Gold Crest McCormick’s Circle donor, and is a John G. Tower Award recipient.  After serving proudly in the Coast Guard, Brother Hagen entered medical school and, after residency, worked with pharmaceutical companies researching and developing medications.

He is the father of twin sons who served the nation as Navy SEALs.  Brother Hagen epitomizes the Star and Crescent—a gentleman, a man of honor and courage, a man of truth, and one who tempers action with wisdom. The Dr. Nicholas S. Hagen Scholarship Leadership Award will go every year to a Rho undergraduate who displays the leadership and scholastic qualities that Brother Hagen characterizes.

Now is the time to rally behind this historic initiative and honor the lasting legacy of Brother Nicholas S. Hagen. Donate Now!
