This Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving, March 6-8, we're asking you to make a tax-deductible donation to support a cause near and dear to the Xi-Beta Chapter– the creation of a new Scholarship-Leadership Award named in honor of Brother Justin Hansen. 100% of your gift, in the amount of $10.34, $50.34, $150.34, $340, $3,400, or $34,000, will help fund this special scholarship.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 to establish a permanent $2,000 annual Scholarship in Brother Hansen's name that will benefit a Xi-Beta Chapter Brother every year in perpetuity.
Brother Justin Hansen is the kind of alumnus who never stopped answering the call of Brotherhood. Initiated in 2001, he quickly became a steady leader within Xi-Beta, serving as Grand Procurator, Grand Master, and in multiple chapter roles that reflected both trust and respect from his brothers. Even as an undergraduate, he leaned into service beyond the chapter house, serving on the Undergraduate Advisory Committee in 2003 and 2004 and setting the tone for a lifetime of engagement with the Fraternity.
After graduation, Brother Hansen’s impact only expanded. He served as Alumni Advisor, District Grand Master, and Commissioner, helping elevate the New England District to District of the Year in 2007, earning District Grand Master of the Year in 2008, and later being recognized as Commissioner of the Year for Champion Quest in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, he received the Stephen Alonzo Jackson Award—our highest honor for an alumni volunteer—cementing a legacy defined by selfless leadership. His commitment to Kappa Sigma’s future continued at the highest levels: elected Worthy Grand Master of Ceremonies in 2015, Worthy Grand Procurator in 2017, elected Worthy Grand Master in 2019 during the 150th Celebration and Conclave in Charlottesville, and named in 2024 by the Supreme Executive Committee as Chairman of the Legacy at the Lawn Campaign—carrying the Star and Crescent forward with vision, credibility, and enduring devotion. Professionally, Brother Hansen is a Managing Director at MFS Investment Management in Boston, where he leads Dealer Relations and manages major corporate and institutional partnerships.
