During this Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving (March 6–8), we want to do something special—surprise Brother Jeff York by establishing a Named Scholarship honoring both him and his brother, Ryan York. Their impact on the Epsilon-Sigma Chapter has been lasting, and this is an opportunity for all of us to recognize that legacy in a meaningful, permanent way.
We’re asking you to make a tax-deductible gift to support the creation of the York Brothers Scholarship-Leadership Award. Every dollar given goes directly to funding this scholarship, and gifts of any size make a difference—whether you choose $10.34, $50.34, $150.34, $340, $3,400, or $34,000. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to establish a permanent $2,000 annual scholarship awarded to an Epsilon-Sigma brother every year in perpetuity. And once we reach $25,000 during the weekend, the fund will immediately activate as a $1,000 annual Scholarship-Leadership Award.

Brother Jeff York embodies the very best of lifelong Kappa Sigma service, consistently stepping forward across decades to lead, advise, and strengthen the Fraternity at every level. As an undergraduate, he served Epsilon-Sigma as Grand Treasurer and Grand Master, setting an early standard of stewardship and accountability. After graduation, he continued that commitment as Alumnus Advisor, House Corporation President, Assistant District Grand Master, District Grand Master, and a member of the Recruitment & Expansion Commission. In every role, Brother York has been the steady presence who guides chapters through transition, supports brothers day-to-day, and leaves the Fraternity stronger than he found it.
His dedication has been recognized through multiple Outstanding Alumnus Advisor Awards, McCormick’s Circle – Silver Scroll recognition, and ongoing leadership in initiatives like the FIVE Campaign and the Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving. Brother Ryan York has been a consistent force in alumni support and events and was a lead supporter of the Legacy at the Lawn campaign, helping strengthen the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Together, they represent the kind of lasting Brotherhood that keeps a chapter thriving, and your gift ensures their example endures in the form that matters most: opportunity for the next generation of Epsilon-Sigma men ready to lead, serve, and pursue excellence. This scholarship honors that legacy while celebrating the York family’s enduring connection to Epsilon-Sigma through Brothers Jeff and Ryan York.
Now is the time to rally behind this historic initiative and honor the lasting legacy of Brother Jeff & Ryan York. Donate Now!
There is no risk to participating in this special Named Scholarship because all amounts raised shy of $25K between or over $50K will be directed to the existing Chapter Scholarship Fund to benefit Epsilon-Sigma undergraduates.
Scholarship-Leadership Award Applications open on September 1st every year, and winners are announced on December 10th.
