When is it?
SAJ Day of Giving will run from Friday, March 1, 2019 , at 12:00 AM EST through Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 11:59 PM EST.
How do I donate?
Make a gift online at donate.sajgiving.com on March 1 - 3. When the campaign is live, you can click the "Give Now" button at the top of the website.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Contributions to the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund are deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes to the extent that the IRS will allow it. No goods or services were received in exchange for your gift. The Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund is established under 501(c3) of the U.S, Internal Revenue Code. Please consult your tax advisor concerning the deductibility of any donations.
What is Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving?
SAJ Weekend of Giving was inspired by dedicated Kappa Sigma brothers hoping to bring alumni, undergraduates, and friends together to support scholarships for undergraduate brothers! On March 1 - 3, participants will be able to support the chapter of their choice, and 100% of their donation will directly support that Chapter Scholarship Fund. Your donations will support Kappa Sigma brothers for many years to come!
What will my donation fund?
100% of all donations made on Stephen Alonzo Jackson Day will be applied to the donor's Chapter Scholarship Fund of choice. These funds enable generous supporters to direct their scholarship assistance to brothers in every chapter of Kappa Sigma! Since 1947, the Endowment Fund has donated nearly $5 million to brothers demonstrating excellence in academics, campus involvement, and fraternity leadership.
How can I set up a matching gift/challenge for my chapter?
If you would like to set one up for your chapter, please email kyle@ef.kappasigma.org with the details of your gift. All matching gifts and challenges donations are pledges and will be updated and collected following SAJ Weekend of Giving. Matching gifts and challenges are a great way to drive support from your chapter brothers! Matching gifts will match donations dollar for dollar up to a set amount, and challenges can drive # of donations or # raised before a challenge unlocks your donation(s).

As a volunteer driven organization, Kappa Sigma’s alumni are our finest asset. Our Fraternity has never had more of its membership actively involved at the local and national levels. Volunteer alumni are directly involved in coaching and mentoring our undergraduates at the local level like never before. Their involvement in all aspects of the professional development of our undergraduates has helped Kappa Sigma produce some of the finest young leaders our Fraternity has ever seen.
What does an "Ambassador" do?
Ambassadors are the brothers that are leading the way on SAJ Day of Giving! They are being asked to share information about the event and promote it to their networks of brothers. Becoming an Ambassador allows you create a custom donation link for your Chapter Scholarship Fund and gives you access to social sharing links including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

What is my Chapters goal?
You can view your Chapters Goal online here, or you can find your chapters page here using the "CHAPTERS STARTING WITH" and see your chapters goal and progress towards the goal once the giving day has begun.
Chapter goals are based on this years FACE Criteria, which is outlined below. If the chapter meets their goal with donations, they will receive 10 points towards their Founders Award of Chapter Excellence criteria.
Under 250 Initiates - $550
250 - 500 Initiates - $1,100
500 - 750 Initiates - $1,750
750 - 1000 Initiates - $2,200
1,000 + Initiates - $2,750
