Support Kappa Sigma at Carnegie Mellon University!
The purpose of this historic initiative is to raise funds for each Chapter Scholarship Fund. Brothers and other Kappa Sigma supporters will be challenged to donate $10.34, $50.34, $150.34, $340, $3,400, $34,000 or more between 12:01 AM EST on Friday, March 3rd and 11:59 PM HST on Sunday, March 5th.

This weekend is used to grow your Chapter Scholarship Fund so that more brothers receive a scholarship each year. 

Your Delta-Alpha Chapter Scholarship Fund Balance over the years: 

  • 2018 - $10,273.13
  • 2019 - $12,207.60
  • 2020 - $13,194.80
  • 2021 - $17,478.73
  • 2022 - $17,770.98

Donate during the weekend in honor or memory of a Brother, or important person to Kappa Sigma, then challenge a pledge brother to do the same! Remember 100% of donations during this weekend support YOUR Chapter Scholarship Fund. 

Your Chapter Scholarship Fund is used to support undergraduate scholarships every year,  for undergraduates of this Chapter only. This fund is invested, grows, and is distributed each year. JP Morgan Private Bank professionally manages the fund.

Scholarship-Leadership Award Applications open on September 1st every year, and winners are announced on December 10th.

If 10 districts achieve 100% undergraduate participation during SAJ Weekend of Giving, PWGM Kevin Kaplan will contribute $1,000.34 to their chapter's scholarship funds (evenly divided amongst groups in the districts).

For the first district in Kappa Sigma that reaches 100% undergraduate participation from every chapter, PWGS Jeffrey McKenzie will contribute $100.34 to each chapter in the district.

For the FIRST TWO districts that achieve 100% undergraduate participation during SAJ Weekend of Giving, WGP Burt Trembly will contribute $250.34 to their chapter's scholarship funds (evenly divided amongst groups in the district) for a total of $500.68.

DGM Patrick Corr's Western Pennsylvania District Challenge #1
For the FIRST chapter of the Western Pennsylvania District that achieves 100% undergraduate participation during SAJ Weekend of Giving, DGM Patrick Corr will contribute $50.34 to their chapter's scholarship fund. For EACH additional chapter in the district that achieves 100% undergraduate participation, he will donate $34 to their chapter scholarship fund for a total of $152.34. The eligible chapters are Delta-Alpha (Carnegie Mellon University), Kappa-Theta (Indiana University of Pennsylvania), Omicron-Sigma (Slippery Rock University), and Xi-Epsilon (Thiel College).
